Jan 18, 2022

For many of us, this time of the year is a time for finding joy in the planning and celebrating of various celebrations that bring families and friends together. Celebrations become part of our life, it shows how close we are to the tradition we have, this meant to be a special coming together of people, an enchanting celebration of what it means to be alive, to live, a bunch of extraordinary in-person events.

However, with different levels of restrictions in place across the country, it's safe to predict that this year's celebrations will also be different from last year's. Coping with the disappointment that you may not be able to mark an occasion in the usual way, particularly festivals which have special meaning, can be challenging. You may feel a range of emotions similar to grief and sadness, which is completely understandable. Accepting the reality of our situation without holding on to the hope that maybe things will return to ‘normal’ in time, can help. On the other hand, we can still be optimistic in thinking about how we can celebrate festivals in our home and still feel the presence of recreation.

Regardless of what the pandemic throws at us, people will continue to rejoice. It's tempting to dismiss the significance of a festival in such unusual circumstances, but it's critical that we don't feel as if our lives have been placed on pause once more. Furthermore, throwing a decent party or focusing on a celebration might provide a few hours of light relief during a time when we are all under a lot of stress. Because even the preparation and process of learning something new can provide a welcome distraction and be a lot of fun. Preparing for a festival can be a bit tight to our budget but with savings on the bank or real estate investing we can start on some inventive thinking and technical solutions, you can ensure that those memorable occasions are commemorated in style.

Try to take in as many of the events as possible. While it's normal to want to be with your loved ones in person, making sure they're as safe as possible could be the best gift you can give this year!

Here are some simple and practical tips to help you plan and enjoy the festival at your home;

Follow Health protocols.

First and foremost, hygiene principles are essential for any public interaction, especially during a celebration or festival. You must always ensure that you have a mask covering your face. Additionally, in the name of healthy choices, you must ensure that your hands do not make contact with the inside of your mask, else the point of wearing the mask is beaten. Given the occasion, you might end up interacting with more than one person; you must always keep your hand sanitizer ready. You might also want to keep separate bottles in your home or on your condo living space to offer others so that they do not end up coming in contact with your bottle.

Design your space.

To feel more the presence of festival even at home, you can recreate your space by looking at themes or designs on the internet. If you are living in a condo in the Philippines you can transform your place depending on the condo design you want. You can use ruffles, banners, or balloons to design your place, this will help to add color to your chosen design.

Dress Up.

Brighten up your festive mood by dressing up in the best outfits you have, you can wear something more different in style with bright colors or dress and pants. By dressing up can feel more the mood of the festivals even at home.

Provide festival foods.

Festivals and other celebrations will not be complete without the food. This is the main event of every celebration which shows and commemorates the different cooking skills, dish that we are very proud of. In cooking, foods make sure your home or condo living space is well ventilated to ensure safety and avoid accidents. Your condo design should have space or area for ventilation since in time of celebration we tend to be busy and forget things like this that make the smell enclosed or trap on your space.

Invite guests on a video call.

Invite your remote friends and family members to participate in a small get-together via video calls. The video quality on many video chatting platforms is now impeccable and you can see each participant's face in a simple grid view. With this, you can still communicate and converse with them while celebrating festivals at home.

Enjoy virtual meals together.

You may not be able to enjoy festive meals and drinks together, however, there are so many ways to deliver savory dishes straight to someone's door, especially on condos in the Philippines you can just ask for security personnel to deliver them to your loved ones door condo units safely. You can also try one such service that offers timely delivery. It’s a great way to encourage a feeling of celebration before your virtual gathering. This way you and your loved ones can enjoy the special foods together while staying connected online.

Click pictures and play online games.

You can snap pictures and create personalized videos that you can post online. You can also pick simple games so that everyone can participate. It will not only make the festive celebration fun and entertaining but will also create memories that you can keep for many years to come.

It’s good to keep in mind that while preparing a celebration can be a happy and exciting time for many, some people can feel under a lot of pressure to create the perfect experience for their loved ones. If you are feeling down, talking to people can lighten your load. Likewise, if you notice that someone you care about is showing signs of distress, ask them how they are feeling and what they need.

While it's normal to want to be with your loved ones at celebrations and festivals, making sure they're as safe from the virus as possible could be the best gift you can give this year. Make sure you're safe by doing covid tests or presenting vaccination cards before visiting family and friends for the holidays and double-check that the folks you're seeing have taken theirs as well.

The pandemic has undoubtedly thrown a twist in the celebration of festivities. However, this does not mean we must stop celebrating. We must simply practice caution and avoid methods of celebration that we know go against making healthy choices. Be it your birthday, anniversary, or festival, it is important to remember that your health comes first. With the above suggestions, you may enjoy festivals to their fullest in the comfort of your own home. These celebrations are simple but classic, and they will help you build memories that will last a lifetime.
