Unlock the Multiverse with These Four MCU Movies

May 02, 2022

It's time to unlock the doors of the multiverse as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premieres on May 4. Since his cinematic debut in 2016, Dr. Stephen Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, has been a vital player in preserving the reality of the MCU. Not to mention, following the events in WandaVision, Elizabeth Olsen's character, known as Wanda Maximoff, will also return in the sequel! However, based on trailers shown thus far, we can detect parallels to other Marvel blockbusters. Indeed, all episodes and movies connected to Doctor Strange's newest expedition are here for your viewing pleasure. Hence, prepare for these formidable Avengers by binge-watching this collection of films and series in your condo before the big day!

WARNING: This article might contain spoilers of previous MCU movies, so proceed with caution.

Doctor Strange (2016)

The genesis story of the hero is usually an excellent place to start, even though Doctor Strange has remained in the famous eye by starring in other characters' films. But believe it or not, it has been over six years since the premiere of Doctor Strange. Several strong characters were introduced, including Wong, Baron Mordo, and Christine Palmer, who will all return in the sequel!

This movie showcased the future Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange, who introduces us to the film about the multiverse and reveals a great deal about the character's identity and potential. When it comes to magical arts and being a neurosurgeon, Strange can break the laws so he may carry out his mission of saving lives. But who knows how long it will be until Doctor Strange is forced to foot the bill for all of this. I guess we'll have to wait until May 4 to find out.

WandaVision (2021)

Grab your comfiest blanket and favorite snack and binge-watch WandaVision inside your condo to fully grasp Scarlet Witch's storyline. The last two episodes are crucial because they rewrite Wanda Maximoff's origin tale, making her the Scarlet Witch. Moreover, Doctor Strange seems to encounter Wanda in the exact secluded location where WandaVision's after-credits scene saw the character reading the Darkhold, which we're guessing may play a significant role in the next feature. After the wake of her loss, Wanda took over the town of New Jersey and lived out her sitcom fantasy with Vision, where she orchestrated a city and her own little family. Her earlier experiences with the Mind Stone merely revealed what she already knew and what power she holds.

As with Doctor Strange's tenure in Kamar-Taj, WandaVision eventually decides to isolate herself as she learns more about the mystic arts, letting the town go free at the expense of losing Vision and her boys. But suddenly, she is interrupted by the voices of her children. In one of the teasers for Doctor Strange 2, she sees visions of her boys in their Westview house, and she seems to be on a mission to find them. Wanda has been branded a villain in the past for her willingness to hold a town ransom to reunite with Vision. But to reconcile with her boys, what sort of harm would she inflict on the world? Is it going to be revealed in the upcoming Dr. Strange movie?

With its fantastic storyline, this series is one of the best ways to dive deep into the multiverse of madness with Dr. Stephen Strange on May 4. Make sure you watch it inside your condo before it's too late! However, binge-watching WandaVision would be better if your home is near your office and other convenience stores, so you never lose snacks while watching and don't waste time with the long commutes. With that, Vista Residences not only offers strategically located condos for you and your family, but their units also have remarkable amenities right at your disposal. For instance, their facilities have swimming pools, study halls, fitness gyms, and available halls, benefiting workers and students alike. Vista GL Taft, in particular, is situated near top universities like DLSU, St. Scholastica's College, Arellano University, St. Paul Manila, and Benilde. Not to mention this condo is also accessible to Pasay and Makati, making it easy to go to and fro places.

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

"Spider-Man: No Way Home" is basically a prequel to "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," which has a crucial part for Strange. If you haven't seen it yet, it's worth seeing it inside your home and finding out what Dr. Strange has done since Avengers: Endgame. Taking place immediately after Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange will deal with the ramifications of his meddling in the multiverse of madness in his next film. As Mordo has warned before, there is a steep price to pay for breaking the rules, and now it's time to pay that price on a multiversal scale.

The film extensively uses movies about the multiverse and even brings in characters from earlier Spider-Man films that have never previously been seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Dr. Strange's failed spell seems to have a role in this multiverse narrative. As revealed in Doctor Strange 2, the spell cast by Dr. Strange in Spider-Man: No Way Home might be a factor in the multiverse's demise. Indeed, it's a good idea to see it in your condo before the big premiere!

Loki (2021)

Marvel's multiverse is often referenced in Loki's own stand-alone MCU show. Introduced in this season is the Time Variance Authority (TVA), an agency that monitors time travel to avoid multiple timelines. However, Sylvie's activities in Loki and the universe may have produced other timelines. Still, it's not yet apparent whether they all follow the same laws. Although it's expected that the TVA's guidelines will also apply in the multiverse, so familiarizing yourself with them will be necessary. According to reports, characters like Loki and Sylvia are expected to feature in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but nothing has been announced officially.

Moreover, Doctor Strange 2's producer claims that the Tom Hiddleston-led series had a significant impact on the picture and even served as a kind of introduction to the multiverse. Some of the Dr. Strange versions that have been seen in the Multiverse of Madness teasers and promos have previously been revealed. Indeed, our best bet is that a significant amount of crossover will happen between Michael Waldron's upcoming season on Loki and the forthcoming Doctor Strange feature. After all, both stories were written by him.

However, if you want to pick up on all of the major plot points in Doctor Strange's latest adventure, you should start with the first two films. They're not essential for following the plot, but watching these movies in your condo will undoubtedly help. While the final film is purely optional, it does include some of our finest and silliest suggestions as to whose appearances could be significant later on. That being said, there's nothing better than re-watching MCU movies at home on the weekend.
