Advantages of Living in a Condo During Summer

Mar 28, 2022

It’s summer again—the time of the year for vacations at the beach, cool refreshing drinks while watching movies, hanging out with friends and going to water parks, doing some leisure sports, or maybe just stay inside your own condo living and don’t bother moving around that much. Summer in the Philippines starts around the months of April or May. These months are the peak where the weather gets scorching hot to the point that even without direct sunlight, you would feel like burning. Some may love the summer season for its tropical vibe and because it’s the moment when we can book a trip to one of our favorite go-to beaches on our bucket list. Other people may hate it, however, because—we’re not even going to deny it—it just gets too hot and sweaty!

During this time of the year, we would want to cool ourselves down, and maybe go somewhere to forget the heat, but still appreciate the summer in the Philippines. We would want to stay somewhere with a cool environment, may it be for a vacation, or for good. What if we tell you that living in a condo may help you out during the summer months in the Philippines? Condo living can be advantageous even during this summer season.

Why is it advantageous? How could it be? What are its advantages? In this article, we will give you a list of things and advantages of living in a condominium during summer.

Optimized Airflow

Compared to a two-story or a widely-structured house, a condo unit is more compact and has less interior space. This means that it has a higher chance for the cool air to circulate faster around the whole amenity. Whether you are using an electric fan to cool yourself down, or a centralized air conditioner to spread cold air around the whole place. It won’t take much time to optimize the airflow and reach all four corners of your condo living. Just make sure to open the doors inside your unit in order for the cool air to flow towards the right and important places of your home.

If you prefer just opening the windows in hopes of saving energy and electricity costs, it’s also a good idea to open them as they also let the hot air from the inside be replaced by the fresh breeze from the outside. It’s important to open your windows from time to time as we don’t want to trap the air. This would be better if you are staying on the higher floors of the condo building, because the higher your condo unit is, the fresher and cooler the air you’ll get from the outside!

Strategic Locations

Condo units are in emplacements and areas where it is strategically effective—they are usually located and established in close proximity to places that you might need to go. Wanting to go to the mall and go shopping or freshen up? Feeling hungry and in the mood for fine dining with cold desserts and a cooling environment? Want to go to a nearby coffee shop and casually hang out with your friends and loved ones while sipping ice-cold coffee? Living in a condo makes it easier for you to travel to the mall, the restaurant, or the coffee shop because unlike houses in subdivisions, condominium buildings are just, if not beside, close to other establishments that you would want to go to and spend time on in this summertime.

Not only is it strategically located, but it also has easy access to certain facilities inside the building if you are a resident.

Condo Facilities

As stated before, a condo unit owner can take full advantage or may be able to experience the facilities in the residence. Dwelling in a condo also gives you a pass to the place’s amazing facilities such as parks, gymnasiums, fitness areas, basketball courts, waiting areas or lounges, and the thing that more people would like during summer—the swimming pools. You don’t even need to leave the place or walk too far, how awesome is that?

Even the hallways of most condominiums aren’t hot due to the centralized air conditioners placed all over the building. You can freely enjoy your summer months (or even for longer) stay. If you’re tired of staying in your condo unit and want a different activity or environment, go and take a dip in the swimming pool to beat the heat! Or if you’re one to fight fire with fire, you can proceed to the gym and work it out, because if you’re just going to sweat even while doing nothing, why not make it productive and sweat more while being active and keeping yourself fit?

Maintenance and Services

Living in a condo, you also have access to their services such as cleaning, repair, and other things that you will be needing help on. You can ask for cleaning to keep your unit fresh and pristine. Another thing, we do know that electric fans or aircon, as well as refrigerators, are almost given essentials during summer. If your electric fan or air conditioner needs cleaning or repairing, you can ask for services to get it done. That way, you won’t have to bring your electronic devices somewhere far and get hassled with them. It’s like you’re being taken care of when you’re in a condo because maintenance and services are almost always readily available to cater for your needs.

In addition, the cost of maintenance of a condo unit is less expensive because it’s shared with other condo unit owners.

Summer in Condos

Indeed, the hot weather makes us want to assure that we’re going to spend our summer months keeping cool and definitely not dealing with a heat stroke. The sun may be striking hot, but living in a condo may beat down the heat. With all the advantage points given—maintenance, facilities, environment, locations, etc.—it could definitely be convincing that living in a condo is a yes during the summer season.

You can stay in and embrace the centralized aircon of your unit, or the optimized air from the fans or open windows, but you can also cool off somewhere outside your condo unit and make use of the pool, parks, or other facilities or establishments near the building. Condo living will let you enjoy the summer in the Philippines both in and out!
