Best Beaches to Visit in the Philippines

Mar 14, 2022

In a country of over 7,000 islands, there are dozens of beautiful beaches in the Philippines. These breathtaking beaches may be found all around the country. Others are recognized for their busy nightlife scene, while others are known for their white beaches and sparkling water.

There are undoubtedly a few beaches among people’s favorites that you haven't visited before. If you're looking for a new adventure, this list of the beautiful beaches in the Philippines can inspire you, especially if you've already visited the popular beaches of El Nido and Boracay. Traveling from one beach to the next may take a long time, but the journey is well worth it.

Here are 8 of the best beaches in the Philippines, whether you're searching for an undervalued place on a lonely island, a cove with a strong swell for surfing, or a bustling area where you can enjoy a beverage in the sun.

White Beach, Boracay

White Beach is on the island of Borocay, approximately 315 kilometers south of Manila. This beach is located off the northwestern tip of Panay Island and exhibits Borocay's and Philippines' artistically rich natural scenery. Tropical settings, a panoramic ocean view, and a variety of vegetation and fauna are all present.

White Beach is roughly 3 kilometers long and is separated into three sections, each with its own distinct beauty and personality. Station 2 is livelier because of its wide shopping, entertainment, and dining zones, whereas Station 1 presents a tranquil, low-key environment where most of the upscale resorts and hotels are located. Station 3, which contains various native cottages and bungalows, is the quietest portion.

Pink Beach, Zamboanga

Travel to the Pink Beach at Great Santa Cruz Island, which is accessible from Zamboanga City, if you're seeking a distinctive beach to explore. Because of the white sand mixed with the crushed red organ pipe corals, the beach has a sandy pink tint.

It may not be noticeable at first unless you examine the sand closely or look at it from a drone video or photo. A trip to Zamboanga Pink Beach is worthwhile not only because it was named one of the greatest beaches by National Geographic, but also because you can tour the island's mangrove jungle, where you may ride a colorful vintage and experience non-stinging jellyfish. Pink Beach is among the famous beaches in the Philippines.

White Island, Camiguin

Because White Island is an empty sandbar, there are no trees or man-made structures to provide shade from the sun. If you're going, make sure you have plenty of drink and sunscreen. It's a nice place to snorkel, but watch out for sea urchins and sea snakes.

The sandbar, on the other hand, is truly magnificent; its shape and size alter with the tides and seasons. The fine beach and clear seas are relaxing, and the vista of the Hibok-Hibok Volcano is postcard-worthy. Summer is the greatest time to visit White Island because boats don't normally venture out when the weather is terrible.

Daku, Naked and Guyam, Siargao

A series of islets in Siargao known as Daku, Naked, and Guyam may be reached by taking an island-hopping cruise. A day's journey to these locations usually begins at Naked Island, which gets its name from the lack of vegetation and coconut trees. Bring sunscreen with you because the weather might be quite hot. The pristine sand of the islet is ideal for sunbathing before moving on to the next destination.

Guyam Island has a unique blend of sand and hard corals on one end and a rocky outcropping on the other. The last stop is Daku Island, where you may eat fresh seafood and coconut juice in a rented hut or among the palm palms for lunch. Swimming is perfect here because of the calm, crystal-clear sea and fine, white sand.

Malamawi Beach, Basilan

Malamawi Beach in Isabela City, Basilan, Mindanao, is an untouched white sand beach. The turquoise waves, gorgeous white beach, and unfettered beauty of this off-the-beaten-path tourist destination make it worth visiting.

Take a walk, go swimming, snorkeling, picnicking, watch the sunset, and more. Beachfront homes and tiny booths offering food and other goods can be found. If you wish to try a water sports activity while you're in the region, you can hire kayaks. Malamawi Beach is accessible by ferry from Zamboanga City and is one of the best beaches in the Philippines.

Kalanggaman Island, Leyte

Kalanggaman Island in Leyte is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines. Its main attraction is a long sandbar that runs from one end of the island to the other. When the tide ebbs to uncover it, it's rather magnificent. If you're not a strong swimmer, signs warn you to be cautious because the sandbank shifts with the tides.

On clear nights, the night sky is speckled with millions of stars, and camping is permitted on the island. On average, a boat rental to Kalanggaman Island costs 3,000 pesos. Because the boat only makes one trip back to the mainland, if you're sharing the boat with another group, make sure you agree on a return time.

Paliton Beach, Siquijor

The most popular beach on the western side of Siquijor, a small island province in Central Visayas, is Paliton Beach. The beautiful turquoise waters, white sand, and picturesque backdrop of coconut trees make this beach famous. Even during peak season, it is worthwhile to visit this beach.

Aside from the province's prominent attractions, join a Siquijor island tour to visit Paliton Beach. Paliton Beach's breathtaking sunset is a must-see! Riding a scooter or tricycle to Paliton Beach is the most convenient mode of transportation.

Nacpan and Calitang Beach, El Nido

There's a reason why the 4-kilometer-long Nacpan Beach is regarded as one of the most famous beaches in the Philippines. It's a welcome change from the interminable island hopping cruises or the crowded beaches of El Nido. You'll find clear blue waves and soft sand here, and you may even have the beach to yourself at times. While Nacpan Beach does not have any sophisticated restaurants, there are a few modest shacks where you may get some local delicacies. There's a tiny hill at the end of the beach that you can climb to observe the twin beaches of Nacpan and Calitang. You can get there by renting a tricycle. Because a large amount of the road is in poor condition, expect a bumpy and perhaps muddy ride.
