Tagaytay is a well-known tourist spot here in the Philippines, especially for quick getaways. Tagaytay’s refreshing climate, must-try restaurants, and breathtaking sights make the city irresistible for everyone who needs time to reconnect and relax for a while.

If you are a fan of Japanese cuisines, then this new Japanese restaurant should be on your list on where to order food in Tagaytay. This restaurant recently just opened last February 12, 2022, and people are excited to try it because of its appetizing dishes and breathtaking view.

Did you know that “Yama” is a Japanese word for “mountain”? Café Yama is a Japanese concept restaurant, and it is located at the hillside in Lausanne at Crosswinds, Barangay Iruhin Central Tagaytay City. The restaurant does not only offer must-try Japanese food but also their al fresco dining area where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city and the beautiful sunset. 

The interiors are also truly eye-catching, Café Yama is decorated with Japanese traditional ornaments such as lanterns or chochin, Japanese parasols or Wagasa, and Japanese murals. It has wood furniture that really complimented the Zen theme. There are also tents where you can eat and have a closer view of the beautiful nature. The place did give a fresh take on Japanese cuisine and achieved an authentic Japanese ambiance.

Café Yama’s menu varies from classic Japanese dishes that include sashimi, teppanyaki, sushi, and stir-fried food on an iron plate. They also offer rice bowls and noodles which are perfect for the cold breeze in Tagaytay. You can also have alcoholic beverages and Japanese-inspired lattes to complete the whole dining experience.
