In the first quarter of 2022, everyone is talking about All of Us are Dead, a Korean-based series on Netflix that has been able to join the Top 10 series in the Philippines. It has 12 episodes you must’ve watched! It became a trend because aside from many people being hooked with Korean dramas these days, it is a fresh series of Korea after all. Zombie films and series have different attacks to attract each viewer, so as this new series.
To give you a synopsis of this series, not to spoil you, but to give you a piece of short information. The All of Us are Dead television series was based on a Webtoon story “Now at Our School”, it was created by very talented Jo Dong-Geun. The story of the mysterious virus was started in a small town, wherein a local high school became the epicenter of ground zero and this is where the unknown infection came from.
The series was set mostly in a high school in South Korea. Once you started to watch the series, you may see a fairly familiar storyline, but wait there’s more! Aside from once someone gets bit by the infected and it’ll be a domino effect, this television series has ‘something’ to offer! So that it is very recommendable by some. Don’t miss out on All of Us are Dead, and cut being ‘FOMO’ on following the trend!
Survival
Zombies’ stories are not new in our time today. The first zombie’s appearance was in the 1960s, the Night of the Dead created by George Romero. Ever since then, the idea of making zombie stories, films, etc. started.
Being able to be ready for unpredictable and unrealistic scenarios is better than worrying about it in the long run. On top of that, every situation like a zombie apocalypse will fall to survival. What you’re will you going to do if society collapses? In times like zombie apocalypse, what will you do to be able to survive? How will you help your family and yourself to stay alive fighting with the living corpses, hunger, and dehydration?
To be able to survive in a zombie apocalypse, here are some things that you should know to stay alive.
Gather sufficient supply
In a sudden situation like a zombie apocalypse, we are nowhere to be found. Some are at home, some are in the middle of work, and some are just in a part of the city. We are not prepared that this thing will happen. So that, the first thing you should do was to go to the nearest place with a supply of all your needs, In a mall with a supermarket perhaps. This is where you can get your supply that will help keep you alive in the next few days. Consider storing the following for basic survival, canned goods for your food, bottled waters, and medication. Don’t forget to get any weapon that you may use to fight the living corpses like matches or lighter and gas. You may also be needing an emergency kit along the way so better prepare this as well.
Set up a communication system
In the middle of chaos, for sure many of us will not be able to think properly, panic was all over the place. The first thing that’ll come to your mind is to message your family member. Communication is very important. Make sure you have your phone with you with full and strong battery life. Just in case, don’t forget your charger! Also, the most important communication at this moment is a radio, in the movies, television and internet might have a problem at this time so that better to grab yourself a radio for the news and announcements. Just in case you don’t have these platforms; you can also use pen and paper to communicate with all possible survivors.
Come up with a plan
Don’t just stand in your position waiting for something, start thinking of a plan that will take you out in the middle of chaos. Plan for your life, if you know you are not safe, better not to go with it. Don’t be impulsive and indecisive in a situation like this.
By making a plan in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, consider first the shelter. You should make sure that your shelter when you are currently in right now is safe. Or if you’re outside, look for the place where you can be able to protect yourself from what is on the outside. Hide and don’t come out as long as you’re not sure that it is not safe yet. At this juncture, you should keep in mind that whatever is out there, they are not your friend. Next, find a weapon for your defense. Anything is possible at this time, do what you need to do. Plan for a better defense, be resourceful about the things is around you that could help you to defend yourself. Fire might help you as a weapon, zombies are extremely sensitive to light, in other words, they are weak in the face of heat or flames.
After that, if you are done with getting food, weapons, and a safe place to stay, time for finding your co-survivors. Build a team that will be useful in the long run. In survival times like this, betrayal was inevitable. But then, if the world was ending, people should help one another and greed should not prevail. Also, don’t forget to pray, anything is possible with praying.
It is important as well that you follow the following rules to be able to survive in a zombie apocalypse. Take note of the following below.
- Always carry a weapon.
- Keep track of your colleagues, stay with them all the time.
- Don’t go out at night.
- Double-tap your kill, to make sure it is dead.
- Trust and communication are the keys to survival.
