Easter Sunday Activities That You Can Do In Your Condo

Apr 07, 2022

Easter Sunday is the most awaited holiday in Christians' calendars aside from Christmas. It is a day we celebrate how Jesus rose from the dead three days after being crucified on the cross. Families, friends, and even the whole community gather together to share the event's joy and celebrate it in different ways. But aside from the religious ritual that's associated with the Easter celebration, it is also a time to relax and bond with our loved ones.

Children are usually very excited about this festival and look forward to it all year round. Some parents take their children out on an adventure hunt so they can collect chocolate eggs that are hidden. In some countries, children gather together at a certain spot to decorate eggs on Easter morning.

With these fun Easter activities for kids and for kids-at-heart inside your condo, you can make sure that everyone has a great time while still keeping Jesus as the focus of this beautiful holiday.

Go to Church and Attend an Easter Sunday Mass

Easter Sunday is a day to celebrate Christ's resurrection. This is an important part of the Christian faith and Easter is a time when many churches will have special Easter Sunday services and activities. A church service is a perfect place to start your Easter Sunday. If you want your children to understand why we celebrate Easter, then you need to teach them the true message of Easter and a great way to do this is by going to church.

Conduct a Family Bible Study

After Sunday morning service, have a family Bible study time where you go over some scriptures about Jesus' death and resurrection. Spend some time talking about why we celebrate Easter and how it affects our lives now.  Have everyone in the family share what they've learned from their own personal studies during Lent and leading up to Easter Sunday.

Have an Easter Egg Hunting

One of the most popular Easter Sunday activities is egg hunting. This activity is enjoyed by kids and adults alike! You can do an Easter egg hunt in your backyard or in a local park. Make sure to hide eggs all over the place for everyone to find. You can also decorate the eggs with all kinds of designs, from simple, colorful patterns to more intricate ones.

For an additional level of fun, you can use a basket filler list to fill your plastic eggs with things in addition to candy. If you want some extra competition, you can even award prizes based on who finds certain eggs first or who ends up with the most or the least eggs. You could even add some religious significance by hiding bible verses along with other goodies!

Host a Brunch

Easter Sunday is a religious holiday, so it makes sense that we should celebrate it in style with our families and friends. Hosting a brunch at home is a good way to spend time with your loved ones while enjoying some delicious food. You can serve all sorts of dishes at your brunch, like eggs Benedict and pancakes, or even something simple like toast with butter and jam!

Get Creative and Crafty

If you’re looking for something to do with the kids on Easter Sunday, get crafty with homemade Easter decorations. Your kids will love decorating your home and being able to see the results of their hard work.

Additionally, one of the things to do in the Easter holidays is Easter Egg Painting. This is an extremely fun-filled activity that you can enjoy with your little ones on Easter Sunday. All you need are some hard-boiled eggs, watercolor, brushes and glitter glue; and you are good to go!

Bake an Easter-themed cake

An Easter Sunday activity that is perfect for families who love spending time in the kitchen is baking an Easter-themed cake! Baking a cake doesn't have to be complicated, either. These days, there are several easy-to-follow recipes online that even beginner bakers can follow. If you're looking for an Easter cake recipe, you might want to try baking a carrot cake, as this is the most typical dessert served on Easter Sunday.

If your kids are not fond of cakes, try creating cookies and other treats and mold them like a bunny. Your kids will for sure enjoy making these cute bunny-shaped sweets!

Dress Up

While not everyone does this, it is fun to put on your 'Sunday Best' for Easter Sunday.  Many people will pull out their nicest suits, dresses or other outfits for this special occasion, but for your kids, you might want to dress them up like bunnies. You can also use this as an opportunity to take family pictures! Have everyone dress their best and take some photos and upload them online or have them framed.

Arrange a Picnic

Easter Sunday is a beautiful time of year to spend outdoors. The easy way to enjoy the outdoors and soak in all the summertime beauty is to organize an Easter Sunday picnic. Pack Easter-themed treats, such as egg salad sandwiches and carrot cake, in baskets or makes it a potluck with each person bringing something to share. Either way, this is an easy and fun way to celebrate Easter with family and friends.

Get Active and Play Games Outside

Take advantage of this beautiful summer weather and play some games outside. You could set up an outdoor scavenger hunt or conduct an Easter-themed relay race — whatever you choose, make sure it involves plenty of exercises so you'll be ready for a big dinner later on.

Whether you’re celebrating the Resurrection with a religious service or embracing the arrival of summer with a pastel-themed party, Easter Sunday is a holiday marked by food, festivities, and fun. There are many different ways to celebrate the Easter holiday with your family, and the best part is that many of these traditions can be tailored to fit your needs. Even if you're looking to create new memories or continue a tradition passed down through generations, make sure to understand and remember why Easter Sunday is being celebrated in the first place.
