Very timely to be informed, even this information’s were mentioned repeatedly, take your time to read and answer your frequently asked questions from this article. Before thinking about jumping onto the next page to look for condo design, enjoy your condo living, seat back, relax, and be informed.

What is Covid-19?

It is not simple flu as we are all commonly known. Last December 31, 2019, the World Health Organization or WHO discovered and first learned this new type of coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, basically known as Covid-19. This disease was started two years ago in Wuhan, People’s Republic of China, with the report of an outbreak, cases of ‘viral pneumonia’. In early 2020, the outbreak quickly spread around the world.

Covid-19 is a kind of common virus, this is an infection in your upper respiratory tract, your nose, sinuses, and upper throat, or in your lower respiratory tract which is your windpipe and your lungs. The said infections are the common causes of the SARS-CoV-2. It is easy to spread because, such as other viruses, it can pass to a new host mainly through person-to-person contact. One thing about this disease as we all know is that the symptoms or the infections range from mild to deadly.

What are the symptoms of Covid-19?

The symptoms of the disease were mistakenly compared to just simple flu, though it is very comparable indeed. Covid-19 most common symptoms include fever, dry cough, and fatigue

Some patients can affect by the less common symptoms such as:

  • Headache,
  • Sore throat,
  • Loss of taste or smell,
  • Nausea or vomiting,
  • Muscle or joint pain,
  • Different types of skin rash,
  • Diarrhea,
  • Nasal congestion,
  • Conjunctivitis (also known as red eyes)
  • Chills or dizziness.

For severe symptoms, here are the following:

  • Shortness of breath,
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest,
  • High temperature (above 38 °C),
  • Loss of appetite,
  • Confusion.

People of all ages should seek medical care immediately once they got a symptom mentioned above.

How will you know if you were a carrier of the disease?

Very basic yet very important. Keep in mind that with or without symptoms, take the test to confirm to lessen your worry. One of the most accurate tests to detect coronavirus disease is the real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (real-time RT–PCR). Hence a friendly reminder, once you feel the symptoms, better to be tested right away to be proactive to the possible circumstances.

What is the difference between symptomatic and asymptomatic?

Believe it or not, coming from those who experienced already having the disease, even when you don’t feel any signs or symptoms, there was an instance that you can possibly have the coronavirus disease. This was called asymptomatic. Asymptomatic cases don’t show any signs that the disease is present in your body. The opposite was called symptomatic. Unlike the asymptomatic that don’t show any signs or symptoms, symptomatic cases are better. Why? For symptomatic, the bearer of the disease was aware of his or her situation as the variety of symptoms may present and be very clear, compared to being asymptomatic. This disease can easily transmit to others and is contagious as well. Without knowing that you are a carrier, how will others suppose to know it either, right?

Isolation and Quarantine. Is it the same?

Isolation is used for those who tested positive and have symptoms of Covid-19, while quarantine is the term used for someone who had contact with someone infected by the SARS-CoV-2.

Isolation and quarantine can take place at home. For quarantine, stay at home or at the facility (just in case you were advised) for 14 days. The isolation depends on the symptoms. We can’t tell the circumstances, better safe than sorry, or probably, better to follow the protocol or else undergo the isolation again. Remain in isolation for 10 days If you are asymptomatic from the time, you tested positive in Covid-19.

What to do when you are infected with Covid-19?

The first thing to do once you feel the symptoms, even you’re tested or not, as long as you feel something bad in you, isolate. Stay at home and stay away from people. It’s ok if you’re not present at your family’s gathering or friend’s birthday celebration, they’ll understand the situation. Don't take risks, especially when it comes to your health and your loved ones.

Here are some things you can do when you are infected with Covid-19:

  • After testing positive, to help to stop the spread of the virus, cooperate with the contact-tracing procedures.
  • While in isolation/quarantine, better not to go to work, school, or any public places.
  • Keep your distance from others, it can help as well so as not to infect others.
  • Even at home, discipline yourself to always wear a medical mask to protect the others, it will only be removed when eating, drinking, or sleeping.
  • Always clean your hands, alcohol is very essential.
  • Don’t share things with others.
  • Keep your room well ventilated and allow fresh air in the four corners of your room.
  • Don’t forget to monitor any symptoms for 14 days.
  • Following medical instructions, it may help for fast recovery.
  • Eat healthy foods and exercise if you can.
  • Once you have the following danger signs such as the difficulty of breathing, chest pain, confusion, loss of speech, or mobility, immediately call your health care provider.
  • Lastly, stay positive. Even if you miss your loved ones, our technology really helps to keep in touch with them.

One thing for isolation and quarantine is that we should consider the place where we will be staying. It’ll be stressful for us and the people around us, to think that they were on the same roof with a person who tested positive for the disease. Many ready-for occupancy condos are very safe to stay in while your loved ones have infected. Like when you were in Baguio or near the place, there's a condo for sale in Baguio that is very reliable in times like this. Aside from that, the condo in Baguio is safe and will help you get comfortable despite the situation. A comfortable place can help lessen everyone’s anxiety and worry.

Also, we really should take a situation like this seriously. Stop spreading false information such as turning into a zombie several years after vaccination. It can cause fear in people and can even prevent them from getting vaccinated. Moreover, do not believe in things that have not been proven.
