Skyline Sessions at Vista Shaw: Framing the Horizon from a Higher Perspective

May 25, 2026

Participants, partners, and organizers gather for a group photo to commemorate Skyline Sessions at Vista Shaw, celebrating creativity, collaboration, and shared perspectives in urban photography.

Vista Shaw served as a creative vantage point for Mandaluyong, hosting Skyline Sessions: An Urban Landscape Photography Workshop with award-winning fine art photographer Cris Magsino.

In collaboration with ThinkDharma, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Nikon products in the Philippines, specializing in high-end cameras, lenses, and imaging accessories, the seminar brought together photography enthusiasts, urban explorers, and visual storytellers for a session focused on composition, cityscape techniques, and the art of seeing Metro Manila through a sharper lens.

Vista Shaw by Vista Residences stands as a ready-for-occupancy landmark in Mandaluyong, combining heritage, connectivity, and elevated city living in a distinguished address.

Light, layers, and landscape

The workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of urban landscape photography, from framing architecture and reading available light to capturing depth, movement, and atmosphere in diverse environments. Magsino shared tried-and-tested insights on transforming familiar residences, roads, and reflections into compelling, vivid narratives, demonstrating to attendees how to discover contrast and character in metropolitan scenes.

A highlight was the hands-on photography session made possible by ThinkDharma, Inc., which lent Nikon cameras to participants for actual shooting exercises. From the Vista Shaw roof deck, attendees captured the changing colors of the skyline, the streets and structures below, and the majestic Manila Bay sunset as it shifted from a golden glow to a grand gradient, turning the condominium property into both a classroom and a creative canvas.

Connected, cultured, and complete

Strategically connected to the metropolitan network of roads and rail systems, including MRT Line 3, Vista Shaw is steps away from Ortigas Center and within 20 minutes of Makati and Bonifacio Global City. Its premium location bridges Pasig and Mandaluyong, lying close to Quezon City and San Juan, granting individuals and investors access to the capital's central business districts.

The ready-for-occupancy (RFO) landmark at the corner of Shaw Boulevard and Laurel Street also preserves the historic residence of President Jose P. Laurel and Vice President Salvador ‘Doy’ H. Laurel. Reimagined as a social and commercial nexus, the development carries both pedigree and promise, blending heritage and height in one high-rise address.

Its social hall, gym, game lounge, landscaped gardens, and swimming pool with sun deck recreate the premium sanctuary sought after within the metro. Crowned by panoramic views of the city skyline, Vista Shaw offers residents a vertical community where leisure, lifestyle, and everyday essentials are within reach. Its commercial hub further supports a self-contained setting, bringing function and fulfillment just a few floors away.

Pathways to progressive living

Inspired by the concept of a crosswalk, a marked path that helps people safely reach their destination, Crosswalk Tower represents movement toward ambition. The non-ready-for-occupancy (NRFO) condominium property along EDSA, at the corner of Shaw Boulevard, is designed as a secure setting where residents can pursue their personal and professional lives with confidence.

Participants immerse themselves in discussions on framing, available light, and cityscape photography, learning how to transform everyday metropolitan scenes into compelling visual narratives.

At most 30 minutes from the central business districts of Quezon City, Ortigas Center, Makati, and Bonifacio Global City, the high-rise development will be served by one of the most extensive road networks in the National Capital Region. Its proximity to Shangri-La Plaza, Estancia Mall, and Power Plant Mall also places leisure within reach.

Designed for varied lifestyles and livelihoods, Crosswalk Tower offers units ranging from stylish studios to spacious three-bedroom condominiums. Its low-density layout supports practical, purposeful functions, while amenities such as a gym, cinema suite, infinity pool with a Jacuzzi, and roof deck extend the home into a more complete experience.

Using Nikon cameras provided by ThinkDharma, Inc., participants put theory into practice during the hands-on photography session, capturing the changing colors and layered views of the metro skyline.

A study in scale and story

The success of Skyline Sessions also reflects the role of Vista Residences, the condominium arm of Vista Land, the Philippines’ leading integrated property developer, as a venue for creative and community-centered events.

From photography sessions to future-forward sanctuaries, Skyline Sessions affirmed how vertical communities can become spaces for creativity, connection, and contemporary living: places where residents and guests not only look at the skyline, but become part of the story rising within it.

Vista Shaw’s amenity spaces, including its swimming pool with sun deck, provide residents with opportunities for recreation and panoramic views above the urban landscape.
