Spooky season is in! Halloween is eagerly anticipated every year because of all the exciting and spooky events that go along with it. There is the artistic side of creating original costumes, Halloween decorations, or carving Jack-o-lanterns. But there's also the spooky thrill of going to a haunted house or going on a trail through a terrifying corn maze and watching scary Halloween movies!

Something about the spooky season seems to motivate movie lovers. There is no shortage of movies that will satisfy every movie lover's craving, whether it be for tense thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat, vintage screamfests full of slashers from Jamie Lee Curtis and Michael Myers, or lighthearted family fun with a creepy twist. It's the perfect season for horror fans.

7 Best Halloween Movies of All Time

The Halloween countdown has started, so it's time to binge-watch all the horror movies or the less spooky but still festive selection of Halloween movies! A good movie marathon is just as important for the spooky season as making costumes or carving pumpkins.

Looking for scary movies to binge? Get the popcorn ready—or perhaps some delicious homemade Halloween treats. Here are the best Halloween movies to binge-watch inside your condo this Halloween season.

  1. Scream VI

For the "Scream" franchise, the bustling Big Apple provides a novel backdrop and introduces fresh thrills, such as the franchise villain blending in on a crowded subway car full of passengers wearing Halloween costumes, including a couple of Ghostfaces. A horror classic, the sixth installment of "Scream" will alter how you perceive the spooky holiday in the big city.

2. Casper (1995)

Of course, this is a classic film and a must-watch. A tween Halloween party is the setting for this charming movie's biggest revelation. To get rid of the mansion's poltergeist residents—Casper and his three uncles, the Ghostly Trio—a father and daughter (played by Bill Pullman and Christina Ricci) move into a seemingly haunted mansion. The real history of Casper the friendly ghost is revealed following a number of ghostly mischiefs and disasters. It is not your ordinary scary movie with jump scares, but it will live up to your expectations.

3. The Nightmare Before Christmas 1993

A Halloween movie? A Christmas movie? It doesn't matter; the stop-motion animated musical is a visual treat that expertly blends the two holidays into a single movie. Henry Selick's film follows Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween town, who has grown weary of scaring people in the same way.

4. A Nightmare on Elm Street

The 1984 American supernatural horror movie 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' was written and directed by Wes Craven, with Robert Shaye serving as producer. It is one of the classic Halloween movies. The cast includes Heather Langenkamp, John Saxon, Ronee Blakley, Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger, and Johnny Depp making his acting debut. It is the first entry in the 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' franchise. The movie's story revolves around a group of teenagers who are targeted by Krueger, an undead former child killer who can kill people through their dreams, as retaliation for their parents burning him alive.

5. Rocky Horror Picture

Rocky Horror Picture Show is a horror genre film perfect for your Halloween night. The story revolves around a young, engaged couple whose car breaks down in the rain close to a castle, prompting them to look for a phone to call for assistance. Strangers in extravagant costumes are present in the castle or country house as they celebrate an annual convention. They learn that the owner of the home is Dr. Frank N. Furter, a man who appears to be insane but is actually an alien transvestite from the planet Transsexual in the galaxy of Transylvania. In his lab, he creates a living muscle man named Rocky.

6. Don't look under the bed.

A 1999 Disney Channel original movie by Kenneth Johnson, Don't Look Under the Bed, was one of the scariest offerings for young viewers on the network. The locals blame Frances, a teenager, for the strange events that begin to occur in the community as a result of the Boogeyman. She reluctantly enlists the assistance of Larry, her brother's imaginary friend, as she works to clear her name; however, Larry has a secret of his own that could jeopardize her ability to defeat the Boogeyman and save her town.

7. The Addams family

This oddball gem comes from the mind of director Barry Sonnenfeld and is based on the 1960s sitcom, which in turn was based on the Charles Addams cartoons for the New Yorker. Anjelica Huston, who is still very much alive, and the late Raul Julia Gomez and Morticia Addams, whose family finds suburban life rather challenging, particularly when estranged Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd) makes his way home. A number of sequels and remakes, including Addams Family Values, Addams Family Reunion, and The Addams Family (2019), as well as the Netflix spinoff series Wednesday, were produced after the 1991 film's modest box office success.

More Halloween Activities You Can Do Inside Your Condo

It's that time of year once more, when spooky themes and endless costume fun rule supreme. Although Halloween is frequently associated with frightening events, there are other Halloween activities that will give you just the right amount of spooky vibes while still providing plenty of thrills and excitement.

1. Go Trick or Treating

Kids still enjoy dressing up in imaginative costumes and going door-to-door, collecting candy from as many houses as they can. When adults participate as well, it can be especially enjoyable. The right atmosphere is created by yards that are dressed in whimsical or eerie ways.

2. Host a Halloween costume party.

Both young and old enjoy attending costume parties. It's a lot of fun to think of an original costume that will make people wonder who you are. Although there are many fantastic options available when purchasing a costume, it is also a lot of fun to use your creativity and make your own costume.

3. Tour a haunted house.

The brave should engage in the activity of visiting a haunted house. If you intend to attend one, you might want to look into how scary each location in your area is. Some might be more bearable than others. Remember the range of ages in your group. For older children and adults who enjoy a little bit of fear in their lives, a haunted house is probably a better choice!

4. Have a bonfire.

When the temperatures begin to drop at the end of the fall, bonfires become very popular. A cozy fire is the ideal setting for a group of friends to gather and share scary short stories. A toasted S'more is the best for a quick Halloween treat.

5. Baked Halloween cookies and cupcakes

Without an abundance of sweets, Halloween wouldn't be the same, right? Bring the kids, invite the neighbors, or invite some friends over for a night of decorating cookies or cupcakes (or both!) with frosting spiderwebs, candy corn graveyards, and marshmallow ghosts.

It's important to adapt activities for your kids based on their age or ability. Each of the listed activities requires parental supervision. To ensure that everyone has a good time, talk to your kids about staying safe during the Halloween season.
