Holidays in 2022 That You Should Take Note Of | Condo Tips

Nov 30, 2021

The world has become a globalized society where people now travel more than ever before. This means that those who do want to travel now have a wide range of destinations to choose from at their fingertips. With the rise in technology, people are now able to spend time working or relaxing wherever they go, as long as they find Wi-Fi.

Everyone loves to take time off during holidays. These holidays are opportunities to catch up with friends and family or tour around to places they’ve always wanted to do, or just do things that will maximize their condo living. The holiday season is a joyous time of year for everyone, but the preparation to get the most out of it can be difficult. It can feel like their to-do list never ends and that there is always something they need to do. However, even though it's hard work, it's worth it in the end when they get a break from all their work responsibilities.

While the world is getting more comfortable with living within their home, most people still look forward to a great time to take a break and have some rest from their busy schedules. To strategically plan the long weekends, here are some holidays worth taking note of in 2022.

New Year’s Eve (January 1, 2022, Saturday)

This holiday has become more and more popular with the passage of time. It is celebrated with lots of enthusiasm, gaiety, and celebration. People across the world wish to spend this festive season in a grand manner. Take advantage of your long weekends by scheduling your vacation leaves close to holidays that fall on weekdays. You can leave work on time, make the most of your downtime, and enjoy the extra days off without having to take a leave day.

January 1 of 2022 falls on Saturday, hence, to maximize this date of the holiday, they can file a leave of absence on January 3, Monday. With this, they can spend more time with family and friends, and have some time to reflect on the things they want to ponder on before they start working again for the next day.

Chinese New Year (February 2022, Tuesday)

Every year, Filipino-Chinese communities in the Philippines celebrate Chinese New Year in the hopes of bringing prosperity, closer family ties, and peace to their communities. But it is more than just a simple holiday. It is an occasion for families and friends to gather together and eat food and watch traditional dances and operas. Most Filipino-Chinese families clean their homes completely, prepare fortunate money in red envelopes, offer sweet dishes, and place a variety of foods and fruits on a table to attract good fortune. People also take part in parades and dragon dances held in China Towns in various towns throughout the Philippines.

To make the most of this holiday, Filipinos may file their vacation leave on the 31st of January, Monday, so that there will be four consecutive days of rest or time for leisure for the Filipinos. These days can also be used to search for ready for occupancy condo units if they are in the search of their new home, or just spend their days inside their condo.

EDSA People Power (February 25, Friday)

Just like any other holiday, EDSA People Power is commemorated annually. For 2021, it falls on Friday, which made it a long weekend for everyone. A short vacation trip to nearby places would be perfect to spend the long weekend. Reorganizing their home, redecorating their condo spaces, or just doing a fun activity than a chore by doing it with loved ones will not just make the holiday more worthy, but it will make condo living more meaningful.

Holy Week – April 14-17, Thursday to Sunday

This is one of the most awaited holidays of Filipinos because it is a great opportunity for most people to return to their provinces and celebrate the week with their families. Holy Week is the time that Christians celebrate the events that confirmed Jesus’s divinity. It also includes other important events such as Easter, Palm Sunday, and Good Friday. Holy Week is an important part of the Christian calendar because it celebrates the life of Christ and his teachings. It is typically celebrated during the first half of April every year

Given the current restrictions of travel around the country and around the world, Filipinos should be scheduling their travels already if they want to spend their holidays somewhere. If so, they should prepare all the essential documents that their destination requires them to have.

For those who want to just spend their holiday inside the condo or homes, there are multiple things that can be done: read new books, revamp their closet or room, start a small business, cook their all-time favorite dish, etc.

National Heroes Day – August 29, Monday

This day is about celebrating the memory of national heroes who made significant contributions to the nation. It is an important day for the country because it encourages people to remember that they are not alone and that they can come together to create something good for their country.

Since this holiday falls on Monday, there will be a long time to rest and recharge. Spending some time with yourself with be a good way to spend this holiday weekend.

All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day (November 1 & 2, Tuesday to Wednesday)

As a special day dedicated to remembering and honoring people who have helped make the world a better place, many people give gifts to friends or relatives that reflect this sentiment. This can be done by getting flowers or visiting cemeteries.

They are rejuvenating, they make us feel alive again and they provide us with an opportunity to shed off the burdens of work and take some time for ourselves.
