Kinds of Coffee you Should Try in your Condo

Jul 04, 2021

“Would you like a cup of coffee?” We often hear this question in all types of social events because people from all over the world enjoy drinking coffee at any time from morning to evening to the point that it has become a part of our daily life. Not only does drinking coffee make one happy and more energetic, but it also makes one healthier and smarter. The sense of comfort that coffee has provided to people resulted in the rising popularity of the drink and the openings of numerous coffee shops and coffee houses which can be seen almost everywhere. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people may have had fewer opportunities to go out to explore and try out different types of coffee in various places!

Despite this, staying at home because of quarantine and lockdown measures is not an excuse to miss out on great coffee. We have listed down simple and easy-to-do coffees that you should try in your condo! These coffee drinks are popular amongst coffee lovers nationwide, and rest assured that you could make them in the comfort of your home, whether or not you are a coffee connoisseur to enjoy your condo living experience.

Matcha Latte

Rather than making a coffee latte, consider going for a Matcha Latte – a simple, yet delectable, a combination of green tea powder, water, and milk. Though this beverage does not have as much caffeine as its coffee counterpart, it still provides a cleaner caffeine boost. Even so, matcha lattes have been a rising trend these days due to their possible healthier benefits.

Dalgona Coffee

The trend of Dalgona coffee was at its peak during the beginning of the pandemic due to the simplicity and fun that comes along with its preparation. Millions of videos across social media have shown that you would have to simply whip together instant coffee, sugar, and hot water to create something similar to whipped cream, which you will put on top of or mix in a cup of milk. Affordable and enjoyable!

Nitro Cold Brew

Nitro Coffee isn’t exactly cheap, but the quality of the drink makes the price and effort worthwhile. A pressurized valve would be needed to infuse cold brew with nitrogen gas, thereby adding tiny bubbles into the beverage to make it tastier, creamier, and smoother. Even so, this coffee has fewer calories given that it often has no sugar or less than what other coffees would have – a healthy option!

Iced Coffee

Iced coffee is one of the tasty coffee classics, but people often stray away from this drink because of how the ice dilutes the taste of the coffee. Though there is a trick to solving this problem, you just have to simply brew your coffee, as usual, mix in your choice of sweetener, and pour it all into an ice cube tray for freezing. After which, put a couple of coffee cubes into a glass of milk and stir. Finally, no more watered-down drinks for you!

Cappuccino

A cup of cappuccino is usually composed of a shot of espresso, foam, and steamed milk. Though this drink is similar to a latte, it would have more foam than steamed milk. This is because the milk foam will be put on top of the espresso and milk, wherein you could pour the foam however you’d like or pour it creatively to make latte art, which is a skill you could develop and learn to love overtime!

Coffee with Plant-Based Milks

There is a wide variety of milk options out there, and you can explore and choose something other than the usual skim or whole milk for your coffee! Non-dairy milks are trending as new and flavorful coffee additions given that vegan and/or lactose intolerant individuals can now drink coffee with milk, instead of black coffee. These rich in flavor plant-based milks include, but are not limited to, almond, soy, and oat.

Affogato

If you’re looking for a dessert-type of coffee, then this beverage is for you. All it needs is a shot of espresso, crema from espresso, and a single (or maybe double) scoop of gelato or vanilla ice cream. The ice cream will make the drink very cold, look like an iced latte, and a summer favorite for many.

Frappuccino

This is a popular drink among young adults due to it being an ice blended coffee drink that could be mixed with whipped cream and flavored syrups that cater to their adventurous taste buds! All it takes is a shot of espresso, ice, milk, sugar, and any other ingredients you’d like to enjoy this cold drink. Just to add, it could also be a coffee-free drink for the children to enjoy.
