With this information, it can be greatly seen that there are various types of mental health disorders or illnesses that can be possibly diagnosed to a person who has its signs and symptoms.
Thus, this leads to an issue that there should be various forms and types of approach in order to solve or just even discuss or show these types of mental health illnesses and the struggles of those people who have these, in just any possible effective ways.

Inside-Out (2015)
One movie that is related to mental health is Pixar’s Inside Out. This is directed by Pete Doctor year 2015. The movie characters are Riley, Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness. This movie portrays the types of emotions a person has. This also shows how one emotion affects another. Moreover, it also shows how one situation affects one person to react on this based on how he or she perceives this situation. It can be taken as something that should be understood solemnly because a person reacts to situations based on how it affects him or her.
Silver Linings Playbook (2012)
One of the best mental health movies is Silver Linings Playbook which was directed by David O. Russell, an American Filmmaker, on 2012. Some of the main casts of this movie were Bradley, Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert De Niro. This movie have focused on how does it feel to have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder I which was diagnosed in the character of Bradley Cooper as “Pat”. It also showed how it affected his family members such as Jennifer Lawrence as “Tiffany”, and Robert de Niro as his father. The movie shows how “Pat” had sudden paranoia, manic episodes such as impulsive behavior, sleeplessness, and increased speech rate.
The Vow (2012)
The Vow is directed by Michael Sucsy last 2012. Some of the main casts are Rachel McAdams (Paige) and Channing Tatum (Leo). Leo and Paige were already married yet unfortunately, Paige got into a car accident and forgot the last five years of her life with Leo. Instances came wherein Paige has became under the control of her parents and has been in-contact with his ex-fiance’. Leo tries so hard not to let their love be permanently forgotten. It is said to be depicting the hardships of those people who has Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Black Swan (2010)
Another movie that involves mental illness is Black Swan which is directed by Darren Aronofsky last 2010. Some of the main casts were Natalie Portman who played as Nina Sayers or the White Swan and Mila Kunis who played as Lily or the Black Swan. Nina is a ballerina in a ballet company in New York City. Unfortunately, she was guided by her obsessive mother, Erica that made her suffer from paranoia, hallucinations, and starts peeling off her skin. This movie coincides with the cause and effect of severe pressure from one person to another. Nina’s attitude portrayed in this movie talked about the signs and symptoms of someone with borderline personality disorder. People who have this are experiencing “mini psychotic episodes”.
A Beautiful Mind (2001)
One for the box for mental health movies is A Beautiful Mind of Ron Howard. Some of its casts are Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly. This is inspired by a true-to-life story of a mathematician named John Nash. John Nash (played by Russell C.) was diagnosed with paranoid Schizophrenia. This is a mental health illness wherein those who have this illness have a hardship to identify reality from imaginations or paranoia. It somehow shows the symptoms of Schizophrenia such as lack of interpersonal relationships, delusions, fear, and the likes.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975)
Another movie that is related to mental health is One Flower Over the Cuckoo’s Nest directed by Milos Forman year 1975. Some of the casts were Jack Nicholson and Louise Fletcher. Some of the characters have been diagnose with several mental illnesses such s epilepsy, and paranoid schizophrenia. Randle McMurphy was transferred from prison to mental institution and the one who is in-charge of the psychiatric ward was Nurse Ratched who is said to be very strict. McMurphy was quite rebellious that made he and Ratched clashed. It affected the circulation of the psychiatric ward.
Girl Interrupted (1999)
Another movie that talks about mental health is Girl, Interrupted by James Mangold, year1999. Some of the casts were Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Brittany Murphy, Elizabeth Moss, and many more. The story focused on mental health illnesses such as borderline personality disorder and depression. Susanna Kaysen stayed in a residential psychiatric facility and was able to know and seeother people’s struggles on their mental health issues.
